A seven-storey, $200m development is coming to the heart of Mosman.Luxury developer Dare Property Group is set to launch Amara Mosman, which will include 26 bespoke residences complemented by a concierge and a 1,600 sqm wellness and retail precinct.

Property developers will have clearer and more detailed information about requirements for building on flood-prone land in Coffs Harbour under draft changes to a document now on public exhibition.  The Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan (DCP) 2015 (Part 4E) has been reviewed and amendments are proposed to ensure it remains effective and aligns with the NSW flood planning framework, the Council said in a statement today.

QLD

The Government has today announced funding of $4.3 million under the Residential Activation Fund will support the construction of a critical project in Rockhampton for the delivery 505 new homes.

TAS

Marinus Link has selected the DT Infrastructure–Samsung C&T joint venture, TasVic Greenlink, as preferred bidder for its final major contract. The project includes converter stations and 90km of civil works in Victoria. Construction begins in 2026, boosting local business, renewable energy integration, and grid resilience between Tasmania and Victoria.

The Victorian government’s draft maps propose apartment towers up to 16 storeys across 25 Melbourne suburbs, aiming to boost housing near public transport. Planning control shifts from councils to the state will speed approvals. Bayside suburbs like Hampton and Brighton face height increases despite local opposition, with outer zones capped at 3–6 storeys.

Bass Coast Shire Council has awarded a works contract for its Cowes Foreshore Precinct Project to Fulton Hogan. This major project is being delivered thanks to $8 million in funding from the Australian Government’s Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program, alongside Council and private investment.

Significant challenges need to be overcome if Victoria is to meet its target of delivering 180,000 new homes in Melbourne’s outer suburbs over the next ten years, an industry briefing has heard.

The Allan Labor Government has finalised a redevelopment plan for Apollo Bay Harbour, backed by $12.6 million federal funding. After years of dedicated research and development in cooperation with Victoria University and Reclaim Waste in Laverton, The Environmental Group’s PFAS extraction technology has been approved for operation at Reclaim Waste by the Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA VIC).
